- USA Hockey rules will apply except as noted herein.
- CREDENTIALS REQUIRED: current USA Hockey membership.
- EQUIPMENT: All players participating in The Rinks Adult Hockey tournaments must wear protective equipment that meets USAH requirements.
- TEAMS: Nine (9) players and one (1) goalie maximum per team.
- DIVISIONS: Upper and Lower – ages 18 and older. Maximum of Eight (8) teams per division
- GAMES: 5 - Round robin - 12 – minute run time games
- 1 - Semi Final - 12 – minute run time games
- 1 - Championship - 12 – minute run time games
- Zero tolerance policy – NO CHECKING. Any intentional, overt or reckless body contact will result in a minor or major penalty.
- Penalties will be enforced: two (2) minute MINOR, five (5) minute MAJOR, and ten (10) minute MISCONDUCT.
- All Penalties in game result in shoot out opportunity
- MAJOR penalties may result in automatic ejection from games
- MISCONDUCT penalties (fighting and other serious infractions) will result in automatic suspension from the tournament.
- Fighting is strictly prohibited. Any player that fights will be ejected from the tournament without replacement.
- Slap shots are not allowed. If the stick rises above the knee in attempt of a shot or pass, it will result in a change of puck possession.
- No offsides or icing. If called it will result in a change of puck possession.
- Scoring Format: two (2) points for WIN, one (1) point for TIE, zero (0) points for LOSS.
- Penalties will result in shoot shootouts at the end of game
- All teams play 5 games and the opportunity for 6 final championship games
- Tie Breaker: (A) Most wins, (B) Head-to-Head play between two tied teams
- 1 referee per game. (it being cross Ice)
- LOCKER ROOMS: will be assigned to teams from the skate counter. Keys will be issued 30 minutes before scheduled game time. Keep the locker rooms clean. Teams are responsible for any damage done to the facility.
- ILLEGAL PLAYERS & TEAMS: If the tournament director determines that an illegal player has participated in the tournament, the player(s) shall be immediately removed from the tournament and the team using the ineligible player(s) will receive a 0-1 forfeit loss in each of the games the illegal player(s) participated in. Illegal players are any participants that:
- Are under 18 years of age
THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MAKE ANY DECISIONS REGARDING THE TOURNAMENT RULES, FORMAT AND ANY OTHER ISSUES FOR THE OVERALL GOOD OF THE EVENT. IN ALL CASES, THIS DECISION WILL BE FINAL.
